Coronavirus self-isolating students and UK Tier 4 visa issues
Sanwar Ali comment:
The situation is continuing to evolve. Recently schools throughout the UK have closed. This is yet to happen to Universities. However, increasingly face to face teaching will be replaced by online teaching methods. Nobody knows for sure how long the Coronavirus Pandemic will last. Things may not be back to normal for a long time.
Because of the economic uncertainties, Tier 4 visa students hoping to find a Tier 2 Sponsor and obtain a Tier 2 visa may find it more difficult to do so.

Bill Hanage, an epidemiologist at Harvard’s TH Chan School of Public Health had the following to say:
“…we’re way past the point where simply restricting travel is a reasonable response…”

There has been a huge decline in visitors to Chinatowns around the World including in London, New York, San Francisco, and Sydney. The affects of Covid-19 are being felt economically as well.
In the UK huge Government funding has been promised to businesses that are being affected by the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic. Grants and loans are being provided on preferential terms. It is uncertain how long the pandemic will last. Even if it is brought under control now, it has been suggested that it will come back.
