Latest Update on Boris Johnson UK visa policy
By Sanwar Ali
There is continuing confusion over what is meant by a new “Australian style” points system, which apparently will be introduced some time in future by a Conservative Government. Boris Johnson and other Tories such as Home Secretary Priti Patel mention this term quite a lot, which was probably picked because it is thought to be popular with voters. However, it is misleading. There is already an “Australian style” points system which was introduced by a Labour Government in 2008. This does not seem to be a credible UK immigration policy after Brexit and any transitional period.
Trump US Visa Update early December 2019
We are covering the following important US visa related news in this report:
1. Green Card backlog affecting Indians. Processing time is so lengthy many Indians will die before gaining a Green Card.
2. Gaining another nationality to make an E2 Visa application.
3. Very high L1 visa denials in India at the US Embassy.
Indians using E2 visa via Grenada Citizenship (also can be used by others not on E2 Country list)
Indians have to wait about seven years to come under the US EB5 immigrant investor visa category or many years for an employment based immigrant visa. They have become fed up with the wait times and are thinking of alternatives. On top of all this the EB5 immigrant investor visa scheme from 21 November 2019 has almost doubled in cost from a minimum of $500,000 to $900,000.
Unfortunately, Indians are not included in the US E2 Treaty Investor visa or E1 Treaty Trader visa Country list. Only certain nationalities are included. Indians can gain entry as spouses and dependents of E2 visa applicants or can come under the E2 visa if they are able to gain some other nationality. on the Country list. If it is not possible to gain citizenship based on long term residence for example in Countries such as the UK, Australia and Canada perhaps, then there is the option of quickly gaining citizenship perhaps in a Caribbean Country.
Innovator Visa opportunity in AI
The biggest problem with the UK Innovator visa scheme is the difficulty in finding an endorsing body for endorsement. We have in the past covered issues relating to the Innovator and Start-Up visa scheme in news reports. We are pleased to say that we have been approached with a limited number of endorsement opportunities for those interested in investment in businesses in the Artificial Intelligence field. The following text is largely taken from the details provided by the company looking for investors in Artificial Intelligence. Send us an email to london@workpermit.com with Innovator Visa in the subject heading for further details.
