Brexit campaigners draft Australian-style UK immigration policy
Leading Brexit campaigners have drafted plans for an Australian-style, points-based immigration system, should the UK public vote to leave the European Union (EU). A referendum will be held in Britain on 23 June to enable voters to decide whether to remain in the EU or 'Brexit'- the name given if Britain leaves the EU.
However, it's worth pointing out that the UK immigration system currently operates a points-based system which includes various tiers including the Tier 2 visa and Tier 1 visa tier. It's unclear exactly how the 'new' points-based system will differ from the current one. What workpermit.com can tell you is that the right to enter the UK will be based on 'skills,' according to a report published by the Huffington Post.
US non-immigrant and immigrant visa fee increases update
Following an announcement made by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on May 4, 2016, of its intent to increase the application fee schedule for US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for non-immigrant and immigrant visas, the DHS has stated that it will receive and review comments regarding the proposed fee increases before finalising the new US visa fee structure.
As reported by Workpermit.com, the DHS filed its notice of intent via the Federal Register – the Daily Journal of the United States Government – and has given until July 5, 2016 for comments to be submitted concerning the proposals outlined in the notice. At the conclusion of the comment period, DHS will review the comments before proceeding to finalize the new rules. It is likely that the proposed changes will go ahead.

UK immigration policy branded 'racist' against curry chefs by Tory
Former Conservative minister, Peter Lilley, has branded UK immigration policy 'racist' for allowing unskilled, EU workers into Britain while barring non-EU curry chefs from entering the country to work mainly in Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants on Tier 2 visas or some other visa category.
Lilley criticised current UK immigration rules, which allow a 'limitless number of white Europeans UK entry, regardless of whether they have a job offer.'
An avid Brexit [the term used to describe the possible British exit from the European Union following the referendum] supporter, Lilley stated that a number of people living in ethnic minority communities across Britain will vote 'Leave' in the upcoming referendum on June 23, 2016, in the hope that it will make it easier to bring in non-EU curry chefs.

At a press conference held in Mexico City, the Binational Coalition Against Donald Trump provided details on how Mexican civil immigrant-support organisations on both sides of the border are preparing to tackle the threats they see linked to Donald Trump's presidential candidacy as the Republican representative.
The Coalition centres on making up for a perceived lack of action by authorities on matters important to immigrants and their families in both the United States and Mexico.
It consists of a collective of primarily migrant- and migration-centred civil organisations brought together in the Mexican capital by the Binational Aztlán Migrants Organisation; Aztlán being an indigenous name for Mexico City.
