Dear visitor,
There are now fewer options to stay in the UK for Tier 4 students and others. Perhaps consider the US J-1 visa scheme and visa schemes in other Countries. Contact the London office on 0344 991 9222 for further details.
Calais migrants to be sent home to Africa as part of new deal
Britain and France have struck a deal to remove illegal immigrants from Calais, returning them to West Africa. UK Home Secretary, Theresa May revealed the plans at the same time as announcing that the UK will inject £7 million into security at a Eurotunnel terminal.
Mrs May described the deal as an 'important step forward.' Following a meeting with the French interior minister, Bernard Cazeneuve, she announced fresh plans to repatriate illegal immigrants who are currently setting up temporary camps in their thousands outside the port of Calais.
Migration Watch report on immigrants and benefits
According to research published by Migration Watch – an organisation that lobbies for stricter UK immigration controls – benefits, employment levels and wages differ vastly across different migrant groups in the UK. The report has been criticised as being misleading.
Australian, South African and US immigrants receive a much higher income than those born in the UK, according to research. A press release published by Migration Watch also said that Indians too, show 'strong economic characteristics'. They have a high level of employment, a good income and a low level of benefit claimants.
However, immigrants from Bangladesh and Pakistan are further down the pay scale, have a lower rate of employment and are more likely to claim benefits.

Mayor of New York blasts EU immigration policies
The mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio, blasted EU immigration policies while speaking at an event in the Vatican on 21 July. He believes that the European Union has 'gravely failed Italy' over issues surrounding asylum seekers and immigration.
De Blasio, who was at the Vatican to deliver a speech on climate change and human trafficking, said that the European Union needs to overhaul its immigration policies to provide much needed assistance to member states struggling to cope with thousands of immigrants arriving at their borders by foot or by sea.
De Blasio said: “It deeply troubles me that the European Union is failing to take action, leaving Italy to fend for itself in dealing with rising numbers of migrants arriving on their soil. It's completely unfair.”
UK business secretary supports tough new Tier 4 visa policy
Recent restrictions to the Tier 4 Visa should come as no surprise. Previously in a speech from UK business secretary, Sajid Javid, on July 10 he said that the UK visa system will not be loosened for international students, despite experts saying that doing so would improve Britain's slowing productivity.
In fact the opposite is now happening. It is becoming more difficult for Tier 4 visa students to study in the UK.
The latest changes to the Tier 4 Visa announced on 13 July 2015 will now add even more restrictions on international students from outside the European Union.
However, it will be students at publicly funded education colleges that will be affected the most. Most of the changes will take place in August and November this year.
