Dear visitor,
There are now fewer options to stay in the UK for Tier 4 students and others. Perhaps consider the US J-1 visa scheme and visa schemes in other Countries. Contact the London office on 0344 991 9222 for further details.
Tough new UK immigration rules for Tier 4 visa students
More non EU/EEA Tier 4 students International students will be banned from working in the UK while they study. Many Tier 4 students will be forced to leave the country when their studies finish under tough new rules.
The most significant immigration rule changes are for Tier 4 students at publicly funded further education colleges; they will be treated in a similar way to those at privately funded further education colleges.
University students will not be so badly affected. Many of the changes will take place in August and November this year.
The new measures, announced by the UK home secretary Theresa May on July 13th, will apply to students from outside of the European Economic Area on Tier 4 Student visas.
US 'sanctuary cities' ignoring immigration laws
The issue of supposed sanctuary cities – which refers to cities that do not fully comply with federal US immigration laws – has become a focus of discussion in the US Congress after Donald Trump raised the subject while campaigning for the Republican nomination for the 2016 presidential race.
On Tuesday, July 21, Republican Chuck Grassley - Senator of Iowa and chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee – revealed new legislation that would target areas of the US "harbouring" undocumented immigrants.

UK Truckers say losses of £1 billion due to illegal immigrants
According to the Road Haulage Association (RHA), businesses are potentially losing £1 billion worth of goods every year because of the actions of illegal immigrants crossing the English Channel into the UK.
The RHA says that migrants stowing away in trucks are damaging goods, leaving companies with no choice but to destroy cargoes because they cannot take the risk of delivering contaminated goods.
Chief executive of the RHA, Richard Burnett, said: "Business owners are being forced to take extreme action by scrapping cargo. They can't take any risks if goods have been tampered with or contaminated."
Anti-immigration group rises up in German town
The town of Freital in Saxony, Germany, has witnessed the rise of a new anti-immigration group after some locals were shocked to find that a new 'central asylum camp' had been opened in their town at a hotel (Hotel Leonardo).
Every week night the 1,200 strong group, known as 'Freital Defends Itself', meet and march to oppose the opening of what they've dubbed a 'hotel home for migrants.'
The group says that the facility was opened in their town without prior warning. The opening of the camp for immigrants was also not mentioned during discussions with the national government earlier in 2015.
