EU migration to UK is impossible to control
A UK business and education minister has admitted that it may be impossible to control the number of migrants arriving in Britain from the EU.
Nick Boles said that the British Prime Minister David Cameron cannot stop ‘very large’ numbers migrating to the UK, due to the EU’s freedom of movement laws, which he describes as a ‘fundamental principle of the EU.’ Like David Cameron Nick Boles is also a Conservative Party MP.
Mr Boles also said that another problem with the current policy is that highly skilled workers that the Country needs were being put off applying for say Tier-2 visas due to the increasingly complex visa process.
“What’s happening, which is a bit troubling, is that quite a lot of people aren’t applying because they think it’s going to be impossibly hard,” He said.
E-2 visas may soon be available for Israeli migrants
The E-2 Treaty Investor visa category may soon be open to Israeli investors after moves by both the US and Israeli governments.
The E-2 treaty investor visa is only available to applicants from countries which have entered into a relevant treaty agreement with the US. They are available to foreign executives, managers and employees where a large amount of capital has been invested into the US.
It is thought that the legislation will be finalised in the coming weeks/months and that E-2 visa applications will soon begin for Israeli citizens.
Hispanics campaign for benefits for ‘Dreamers’
Hispanic groups are campaigning for President Obama to grant access to Obamacare health insurance, for a group of Hispanic immigrants known as ‘Dreamers.’
The dreamers are a group of hundreds of thousands of young adults who were brought to the US illegally by their parents. They were granted temporary legal immigration status by Obama in 2012, under his ‘deferred action’ initiative.
Under current policy, illegal immigrants are not eligible for health insurance under Obamacare, and in some states are also barred from Medicaid benefits.
Top Hispanic leaders are now arguing that since they are paying taxes, they should be eligible for government benefits.

We remind you that in September 2014 the Australian senate voted to save four visa classes which relate to family members.
These types of visa allow Australian citizens or permanent residents to sponsor relatives to come and join them in Australia. They were first introduced in the Migration Act of 1958.
These affordable Australian family visa classes were scrapped in June, However, as a result of the vote migrants are again eligible to apply for these family visas.
Academic baffled by UK student visa policy
A leading academic has criticised the UK government’s tough and complicated international student visa requirements, saying that he is ‘baffled’ by the policy.
Professor Andrew Hamilton is the Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University. He pointed out that "for the first time in decades, the number of international students at our universities has dropped, most markedly from India."
He also said that the policy on international students was harming the UK. Many top students, put off by the student visa requirements, will choose to study elsewhere in the world. He also urged politicians to remove students from migrant targets.
