We would like to remind you that the UK's sponsorship licence system for has now been in place for over four years. This is the time that a UKBA sponsorship licence lasts so organisations that registered in 2008 and 2009 will soon be required to renew their licences, if they have not had to do so already.
A failure to re-apply will lead to a revocation of your company's right to employ workers from overseas. It will also result in any workers you currently have working with your company on Tier 2 visas losing their right to reside in the UK.
If you run an organisation that registered to sponsor applicants for Tier 2 or Tier 5 UK visas, workpermit.com can help you re-apply.
Companies must meet all requirements
In order to re-apply successfully, companies must ensure that they still meet all requirements for being a sponsor in the UK. The main requirements are• maintaining adequate records of foreign national employees
• completing necessary immigration compliance checks on all new members of staff
• having satisfactory HR and compliance systems in place.
All licences cost small businesses (as defined by the Companies Act 2006) and charitable organisations £500. Medium and large sponsors must pay £1,500 for a Tier 2 licence or a joint tier 2 and tier 5 licence but only £500 for a tier 5 licence.
We can help with UK Tier 2 Sponsorship Licenses. In order to sponsor applicants, an employer will need to have registered with the UK Border Agency as a Licensed Sponsor. If you are interested in applying for a Tier 2 Sponsorship License, please contact our workpermit.com London Office on 0344 991 9222.
