U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has recently made available a video about the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program.

USCIS hopes that the SAVE program will make it easier for federal, state, and local benefit-granting agencies to verify an immigrant's immigration status and right to benefits and licenses. SAVE is used to check the details of an applicant on a database of millions of records. There are currently more than 300 agencies in the SAVE program.

Increasingly Governments around the World including the US Government are taking steps to monitor people's entry and stay. This is made possible with the introduction of new technology.
