The UK Border Agency has decided that some organizations and tests should no longer be included in the list of approved English language test providers for the Tier 1 points based immigration system.
The following tests are no longer accepted as evidence of English language ability for Tier 1 applications submitted after 11 September 2008:
Organization | Test |
---|---|
A+ Education | A+ Education Test |
Central School of Professional Studies | CSPS English Language Course (Advanced) |
City School of Commerce and Technology | CSCT Standard Test for English |
University of Hull | Foundation English Language Test Summer Study English Language Test |
All applications received after 11 September 2008 that include one of the above tests as evidence of English language ability will not score the required 10 points needed to satisfy the English Language requirement of Tier 1.
Any applications made on or before 11 September 2008 that included one of the following courses will be accepted as evidence of English Language ability:
- A+ Education English Test
- CSPS English Language Course (Advanced) test
- Foundation English Language Test
- Summer Study English Language Test
Individuals who have submitted applications on or before 11 September 2008 that included the CSCT Standard Test for English as evidence of English Language ability will be required to provide further evidence of English language skills.
These individuals will be contacted and given 10 weeks to undertake an alternative English language test. These applicants will have only one chance to take the alternative test.
