On October 25, the UK launched its Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme (SEGS), allowing non-EEA nationals who have graduated from UK higher or further education institutions to remain in the UK for up to a year to pursue a career.
Those sought after under the SEGS should have received a lower second class, or higher degree in certain physical sciences, mathematics and engineering.
Graduates who have left the UK after their education but want to return under this scheme must do so within 12 months after graduation and they must apply for entry clearance in their home country, if necessary.
If you believe you could fall in under the SEGS, there is also a chance you might fall in under the Highly Skilled Migrant Program (HSMP). For more information about this program, please visit or HSMP points calculator page.
