Are you in the UK with a Tier 1 (Post Study Work) visa or Tier 4 Student visa? Are you working or have found work in the UK – perhaps in banking or IT? Unfortunately many employers are unable or unwilling to sponsor foreign workers.
Providing you have found suitable work, we can help you find a Tier 2 sponsor and transfer to the Tier 2 (General) skilled worker visa stream. The requirements are easier if you are switching from a Tier 1 PSW or Tier 4 Student visa (at degree level) to a Tier 2 Visa.
The Tier 1 (Post Study Work) visa stream (PSW) allowed international graduates of UK universities to stay in the UK for two years after graduation. The PSW visa stream was closed to new entrants in April 2012 but those with existing PSW visas were allowed to stay until the expiry of their visas.
No need for Resident Labour Market Testing
If you are in the UK on a Tier 4 visa or Tier 1 PSW visa, you can apply to remain on the Tier 2 (General) skilled worker visa.Your employer will not have to undertake labour market testing to show that they cannot find someone else to do the job as it would for other Tier 2 (General) applicants.
If you are not on a Tier 1 PSW visa or Tier 4 student visa to qualify for a Tier 2 (General) visa you must normally be in an occupation that is either on the list of shortage occupations or which passes the Resident Labour Market Test.
No settled worker who can do the job
To complete the Resident Labour Market Test, your employer must be able to show that there is no settled worker in the UK who can do your job. Normally the employer will need to advertise the job nationally in the UK.If you have suitable work, but the employer is unable or unwilling to sponsor you we at workpermit.com can help you find a company that will sponsor your visa application.
