Diego Saul Reyna, a Mexican immigrant construction worker, recently trolled Republican Presidential nominee, Donald Trump via his Facebook page by posting a picture of himself atop a newly constructed Trump Tower in Vancouver, Canada with a Mexican flag. Reyna feels he is making a stand in support of Mexican immigrants and immigrants in general.
In his Facebook post, Reyna wrote: "From the concrete pouring, finishing, drywall, taping, wood forming and general labour, Mexicans were there, building it [the Trump Tower], doing good work."
Having labelled Mexican immigrants 'rapists' during the course of his Presidential campaign, and also threatening to build a wall and 'make Mexico pay for it' to stop Mexican nationals entering the US, Trump is not popular among the Mexican population.
However, Reyna had a message for Trump, saying: "Your comments do not stop us from doing the high quality work we have always done, in our home country or when we migrate to the US or Canada."

Donald Trump is an immigration hypocrite. Trump Construction projects provide jobs for illegal immigrant Mexicans. A number of his other businesses such as the Mar-a-Lago club employs many hundreds of immigrants on visas such as the H-2B visa in preference to hiring Americans and US permanent residents. Trump Model Management hires overseas models on H-1B visas and O-1 extraordinary ability visas. Trump businesses are very dependent on overseas nationals. In a Fox News debate on 3 March 2016 Trump had the following to say.
"We do need highly skilled, and one of the biggest problems we have is people go to the best colleges. They'll go to Harvard, they'll go to Stanford, they'll go to Wharton, as soon as they're finished they'll get shoved out. They want to stay in this country. They want to stay here desperately, they're not able to stay here. For that purpose, we absolutely have to be able to keep the brain power in this country."
Trump may actually be a closet immigration liberal. It seems to be difficult to know what he actually does think. Perhaps he just says what he thinks will get him more votes for the Republican party nomination.
New Trump Tower in Vancouver
Commenting on the new Trump Tower in downtown Vancouver, Canada, Reyna said: "We did our best work, your tower here in Vancouver is premium quality, and we were a crucial part of it, not just Mexicans but immigrants as a whole."
Reyna went on to offer Trump a stark reminder, telling the real estate tycoon: "Your ancestors are not Native American, you're not Native American and the insults you have said about us haven't changed our work ethics."
Referencing the comments made by Trump about Mexicans, Reyna said: "While building your tower, no Mexican stole anything, nor was anyone raped. We did the best work we could do, for ourselves, for our families and those people that will occupy your building."
According to news sources, Reyna had told CBC news that he had put up the Mexican flag as an act of 'love and unity,' which he hoped would reach Donald Trump. However, the flag was up for just one day until it was removed.
Although Reyna did not work on the newly constructed Trump Tower in Vancouver, it's assumed that someone on site allowed him access in order to carry out the stunt. Standing at the peak of the tower, Reyna said: "Look at that building, look how beautiful it is… and that is a result of a coordination of all the ethnic groups in Canada."
Aside from taking to Facebook, Reyna also posted a YouTube video with a further message for Trump. In the 45 second video, he said: "Every time you judge us [Mexican immigrants and immigrants in general], you can think, 'Who is building your towers?' We are."
