The current contractors that processes payment for many UK immigration, visa and work permit applications will change, effective Monday, 19 June, 2006. Persons submitting applications are asked to note that addresses for submitting applications will change in many cases, so they should take especial note of the correct address for their form(s). Some of these forms themselves are changing, which should not be confused with the contractors processing the payments for the process.
Applications that are rejected generally are not eligible for refund since the fee charged is for consideration and processing only, not for approved applications. The contractor ATOS at Doncaster will be replaced by Siemens at Sheffield for processing Work Permits (WP), Sectors Based Scheme (SBS), Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme (SAWS) and Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP).
The application process for Worker Registration Scheme (WRS), Leave to Remain (LTR) and Certificate of Approval (COA) will be handled by Siemens at Durham now, rather than at Cannock as previous.
Many forms and the associated guidance have already been revised and are available, while others will be shortly.
Persons with comments or questions about the changes are urged to contact the Work Permits (UK) Customer Contact Centre. Persons are reminded that Siemens Business Services is independent of the Immigration and Nationality Directorate. Siemens Business Services does not process the actual applications (only the payment processing), and they cannot assist with public callers.
