The third joint collection by Song for the Mute and adidas Originals conjures up a nostalgic atmosphere without neglecting modern aesthetics.

The “SFTM-003” collection features the iconic Country OG silhouette in list color variants inspired by the 90s - pale gray and teal nylon, reminiscent of old windbreakers, as well as classic black smooth leather and suede.

Metallic D-rings are combined with a paracord-inspired lacing system, which gives a futuristic, nostalgic impression.

Creative Director Lyna Ty reinterprets traditional silhouettes with modern materials and details in the clothing line that accompanies the shoes — with eight pieces of clothing that explore new textile directions and techniques.

Zip-up Sherpa fleece jackets are combined with digitally printed contrasting sleeves and logo embroidery.

Distressed jersey hoodies in brown and teal are available, as are an oversized blazer and sweatpants with snaps, both made from lightweight coated cotton. A custom-made jacquard knit with intricate color contrasts completes the collection.

Photographer Atsushi 'Jima' Nishijima — known for his unpresented photographs of actors on film sets — captures this unconventional, unconventional energy in the accompanying campaign.

In direct collaboration with art director and stylist Stephen Mann, the duo captures authentic moments behind the scenes of actors in front of urban scenes and places such as backyards and construction sites.

This approach to image design allows Jima to capture in-between moments and highlight the beauty of the unplanned.

Hair artist Erol Karadag uses theatrical wigs that enrich the entire story. The wigs are integrated into the modern environment and offer a dramatic element of time travel that further supports the cultural and contemporary design themes pursued by Ty in her collections.
